Collins kac4506@mindspring.com 864-647-0275 self-appointed cemetery Curator o----------o Author: Jase_Smith Message Board Post: Smith Watkins is near Five Forks. At Five Forks turn on to Stribbling Shoals Rd. Go about 2 miles. You will see Marble Branch Trail on your left. Its a little gravel road. Go down Marble Branch for about a mile and It will be on your right on a hill. You can see George Watkins headstone from the gravel road. Him and John Smith (my 3 great grandfather) are the only marked graves. There are about 30 unmarked graves with a blank head and foot stone at each. Most are children that died during the 1918-1919 flu epidemic. You will see signs saying private property keep out on Marble Branch Rd but as long as you just stay on the road or at the cem you will be ok.
